Generally  speaking algae in the pool is a result of inadequate levels of sanitizer (chlorine) in the water that is needed to kill the bacteria.  We take great pride in keeping your pool "algae free" at all times by keeping a safe and effective sanitary environment in the pool.

Essentially there are three types of algae:

1) Green algae - A slimy film which common shows when pool hasn't been sanitized properly.

2) Yellow and mustard algae - A yellow slimy film which occurs when sanitizer level is low and pool has poor circulation problems.

    * mustard algae can and will occur with proper sanitation levels mixed with poor circulation and filtration problems.

3) Black algae - Small black spots which can and will root into walls of pool.  It is by far the worst of the three types and very difficult t remove.
